In-Person Children’s Church is back!

In-person Children’s Church is available for all preschool and elementary children.  Following the worship service singing, children are dismissed to the foyer to meet the teachers.  The group then goes to the fellowship hall, where Children’s Church is being held for the time being.  There are active games, seated activities, music, and a Bible Story, all with the intention of maintaining some space while still creating a happy and inclusive atmosphere.  In addition, snacks are prepackaged for each child to enjoy and hand sanitizer is used before and after eating.  (With Pennsylvania’s mask mandate ending, we at DAC do not have a specific masking recommendation for Children’s Church and affirm each family’s personal decision.)

After the morning service, parents head toward the stairs that are next to the bathrooms to pick up their child(ren).

We do plan to go outside (to rear of parking lot) for our opening activities whenever the weather permits.

Family Sundays

We hold Family Sundays once every 2-3 months, for two main reasons: (1) to show our DAKids that they are valued, integral members of our church family and (2) to give our Children’s Ministry volunteers the opportunity to be in church all together.  In-person, there will be kids serving as the greeters on a Family Sunday, a song that the kids would know from Children’s Church opening the service, the sermon geared for the whole family, and more.  Families can pick up family worship bins before the service. These bins include clipboards with printables that go with the sermon, craft supplies, and other self-led activities.  Check the church calendar tab to see when the next Family Sunday will be held.
