Modified Children’s Church

Updated March 1, 2022

We love in-person Children’s Church!  Following the worship service singing, elementary-school-aged children are dismissed to the foyer to meet the teachers.  The group then goes to the fellowship hall, where Children’s Church is being held for the time being.  Kids sit at tables that are distanced for six-feet spacing. (Siblings share tables.)

There are active games, seated activities, music, and a Bible Story, all with the intention of creating a happy, safe, and inclusive atmosphere.  When weather permits, activities are held outside.

All snacks are prepackaged for each child to enjoy and hand sanitizer is used before and after eating.

The DAKids leadership team continues to follow CDC guidance as well as the local school district’s lead.  The CDC has qualified our area as one that does not need to continue masking at this time.  You may see some of our leaders and some of the children still wearing masks during Children’s Church; we support whatever your family chooses is best for you.

After the morning service, parents head toward the stairs that are next to the upper level bathrooms to pick up their child(ren).
